Graham has enjoyed visiting Fredericksburg since 1981 and he and his wife Renee jumped at the opportunity to come live here in 1998.
Graham’s interest in local politics grew from being involved in a neighborhood development issue in 2005. After rallying his neighbors with a petition and presenting it to City Council, he was inspired to become a regular attendee at Council and city budget meetings.
Graham subsequently ran for office and, since 2010, he has been an enthusiastic Council member. For the last 4 years, Graham served as Mayor Pro Tem. Graham enjoys staying informed about issues facing Fredericksburg and acting as one of its chief ambassadors.
As an ambassador for the city, Graham attends ceremonies that celebrate our veterans such as Pearl Harbor Day and Veterans’ Day as well as other events that recognize our city’s culture and its numerous volunteer organizations.
Graham is very proud to have been a part of local government during these past six years. Council has worked closely as a team with city hall staff, and he regards the team as a group of problem solvers, making some difficult decisions, accomplishing a lot, and doing all this while keeping a keen eye on efficiency.
Renee and Graham are members of the Pedernales Creative Arts Alliance and he helps organize their Sunday evening summer concert series in the Marktplatz. Graham is also a member of the Bethany Lutheran contemporary praise team.
