  1. CANCELED: Oktoberfest

    October 2, 2020, 6:00 PM - October 3, 2020, 12:00 AM @ Marktplatz

One of Fredericksburg’s favorite events, celebrating our German culture, made the announcement it is cancelling the 2020 Oktoberfest in Fredericksburg. Debbie Reeh, Oktoberfest Event Producer, made a difficult decision to cancel Oktoberfest for the first time in its 40-year history. During a meeting with the Oktoberfest Advisory committee, she addressed many reasons why it should be cancelled, of which the Advisory Board concurred. Due to the increasing concerns with the spread of COVID-19 they could see it not being feasible to proceed with plans for the event. OKTOBERFEST - 40th Anniversary - Oompah at its Best! Help us celebrate one of Fredericksburg's favorite festivals. German food and drink, music on four stages all weekend long!

$100 VISA GIFTCARD GIVEAWAY - Sign up by 9/15 to be included in drawing! Due to COVID-19 concerns, we have gone virtual this year in order to ensure that our critical financial support to school and community-based literacy programs is not interrupted. This is a "do-it-yourself" race which can be run or walked anytime between October 3 through October 17. The race can be completed anywhere (treadmills included). You get to choose the course. As in past races, registration will include our very popular long-sleeved technical fabric t-shirt. The shirt will have the Oktoberfest themed race logo similar or identical to the logo at the top of this registration page. A lot of past racers say our shirts are worth the price of registration! When registering, you will have the option to select a local Fredericksburg shirt pickup or have the shirt mailed to your address.
