My wife Lynn and I have been married for 29 years. Our son Kevin is at Texas A&M University, and our daughter Katie is attending Fordham University in New York

I have a degree in horticulture from Stephen F. Austin University and am owner of Hill Country Lawn & Landscape. I have been self employed in this capacity for 27 years, beginning in the Dallas area and have lived in Fredericksburg for 12 years. Owning my own business gives me the flexibility to give this position the time it both needs and deserves.

I have worked with the Gillespie County Historical Society for over five years, including responsibility for four years for the newspaper supplement promoting the Christmas Tour of Homes. I am currently serving as treasurer for the Historical Society.

As a board member of the Continuing Education Advisory Board, I help research and select classes to be offered to city and county residents. I am also a 1996 graduate of Gillespie County Leadership, a year-long program in which I learned a great deal about local government and issues affecting our future.

We face many challenges. As your city councilman, I work to continue the diligent efforts made by those who have worked so hard to make Fredericksburg the unique and dynamic place that I am proud to call home.
