DAVID PEDREGON.

Growing up in Fredericksburg, David attended St. Mary’s Catholic School and graduated from Fredericksburg High School. From there, he went on to Texas Tech where he received his undergraduate degree, and then moved to Boston where he continued his education at Harvard University. David started his career at the tender age of nine, waiting on customers at his family’s business, The Peach Tree. He also worked in the investment industry during his time in Boston. After moving back to Fredericksburg in 2001, David and his wife, Helana, started up and continue to own and operate Dogologie on Main Street. During their 15 years of marriage, David and Helana have been blessed with four children ~ Claire, Rose, Harley and Jack. David’s parents and sister, Hector, Cynthia and Tina, continue to run The Peach Tree Restaurant and Gift Gallery.

Since returning to Fredericksburg seven years ago, Mr. Pedregon has served on the Planning and Zoning Commission, the Convention & Visitor Bureau, the Economic Development commission, the Ignite Education Board, the Hill Country Evangelical Free Church Deacon Board, the Ambleside School Board, and also the Texas Retailer’s Association Board. During his tenure on these volunteer committees, he has garnered a great deal of experience as an officer on most of the boards. David feels strongly that our community’s success is an inheritance to be cherished and nurtured, and that is why he became immediately involved in our community when he and his family moved back to Fredericksburg in 2001. He realizes that we are all benefiting from the hard work of all the generations who have gone before us, and his service today is an expression of his gratitude and respect. David is committed to continuing that tradition of hard work to keep Fredericksburg strong and prosperous as we are building the legacy that future generations will inherit.

One of David’s objectives as a city council member is to ensure the protection and preservation of our German heritage. Additionally, he sees the need for affordable housing and workforce development as crucial elements to maintaining our strong economy. Mr. Pedregon’s lifelong love for our community has called him to service, and he is looking forward to continuing his contribution to Fredericksburg.
