Certified by the Texas Department of Health General Sanitation Division

This office is under the supervision of the City Planner / Building Official. Duties and responsibilities range from zoning ordinances, public nuisances, junk vehicle abatement and other various city civil ordinances. Under the zoning ordinance we enforce the following:

Commercial and Residential signs under Article 3.000: Signs

Landscaping and Screening Regulations under Section 7.900 of the Zoning Ordinance

Home Occupation Ordinances under Section 7.900 of the Zoning Ordinance

In addition our office investigates most complaints concerning other violations of the Zoning Ordinance.

Our office is also responsible for certain Civil Code Ordinances such as:

Unsightly or unsanitary Accumulation; Public Nuisance

Junked Vehicle

Abandoned Iceboxes, refrigerators etc.

Unsafe Building Abatement Code

Public Sidewalk and other Public Areas Ordinances

We also assist in certain other civil ordinances listed in the Fredericksburg Code of Ordinances
