Personal Life
I spent the first part of my life in Illinois, attending college there and then earning a J.D. from Loyola Law School.  I moved to Texas in 1981 and shortly thereafter, attended the University of Texas receiving a Master of Arts degree.  I practiced law in Austin and sat as an Administrative Law Judge for 12 years, after which I moved to Fredericksburg where I have made close friends and discovered retirement.

Life in Fredericksburg
In about 2005, I was appointed to the Gillespie County Appraisal Review Board, served there for four years, and later, Spring of 2011, was appointed to the City Board of Adjustment.  I am a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for children in foster care and serve on the Hill Country CASA governing board, as well as the Gillespie County Child Services Board.  From its inception, I have been a volunteer at the Fredericksburg Farmers Market; 2012 is the Market’s fifth season.

City Council
I have been interested in government since college and somehow found it fascinating to attend City Council meetings in this community.  So, there I was, sitting in the audience watching meeting after meeting until I finally decided I should make a run at getting elected.  In February, 2012, I signed up, and with the help of many friends encouraging me through that election period, and thanks to the voters of Fredericksburg, I am now honored to find myself on the City Council.
