ARTICLE 2.000 CERTIFIED COPIES FROM DUPLICATES Certified copies may be provided from photographic duplicates of public records, even when the original of such record has not as yet been destroyed. A charge of one dollar and fifty cents ($1.50) for each page or part thereof shall be made for certified copies produced from a photographic duplicate of the original record; provided, however, where a specific charge is elsewhere provided by this article or other ordinance for certified copies of particular records, then such specific chart shall be controlling over the charge provided for in this article. Costs for copying any other materials and documents (i.e., maps, oversized documents, colored copies, blue line prints, etc.) shall be determined by the city secretary at the time such request is made. (Ordinance adopting Code) Code reference–Chapter 1, Article 1.900 ARTICLE 4.000 ANIMAL FEES AND CHARGES § 4.100 Fees for Impoundment of Dogs and Cats Running at Large (a) Impoundment, confinement and disposition of dogs or cats which have bitten or molested people.
(b) Redemption of impounded dogs or cats not suspected of rabies. Any person whose dog or cat shall have been impounded for reasons other than biting a person shall have the right to redeem his/her dog or cat from the city pound on the date of its impoundment or within three (3) calendar days thereafter, making proof to the animal control officer of his/her ownership or right to possession of the dog or cat and by payment to the animal control officer of a pound fee of fifteen dollars ($15.00), plus the sum of two dollars and fifty cents ($2.50) per day for each day, or part thereof, that such dog or cat shall have been confined for the food and care of such dog or cat, as well as any other charges incurred by the city in keeping of the dog or cat impounded. § 4.200 Registration of Dangerous Dogs (a) The animal control officer shall formally register a dangerous dog if the owner pays an annual fee of fifty dollars ($50.00). (b) If an owner of a registered dangerous dog sells or moves the dog to a new address within the city, he/she, not later than the fourteenth (14th) day after the sale or move, shall notify the animal control officer. On presentation of a fee of twenty-five dollars ($25.00), the animal control officer shall issue a new registration tag to be placed on the dog’s collar. Code reference–Chapter 2, Section 2.704
ARTICLE 5.000 CONSTRUCTIONS PERMITS AND FEES No building shall be in any manner constructed, altered, repaired, remodeled, or moved within the city limits unless a building permit is obtained. The following fees shall be paid for building permits:
The building inspector shall determine, for each application for building permit received, which of the above rates will apply. Code reference–Chapter 3, Section 3.201
§ 5.200 Electrical Permit Fees Each application for permit shall be remitted to the electrical inspector with the appropriate fee, as determined from the schedule of fees below, which fees shall be inclusive of normal inspection fees. In the event the scope of work is increased during the construction period, the electrical inspector shall require the permit holder to file an amended permit application, prior to final inspection, setting forth the proper fee calculations based on the increase in scope, and paying the increased fee amount: Fee Schedule
Repairs, replacements or additions to existing electrical systems shall be charged at the above rate according to the portion of the existing system which is being repaired. Moving or otherwise relocating of any electrical equipment for which a permit fee is not otherwise provided for shall require a minimum inspection fee of twenty dollars ($20.00). In the event work is commenced before a permit is obtained without he specific approval of the building official, the permit fee shall be doubled but in no case shall he doubled fee be less than sixty dollars ($60.00). In the event it becomes necessary, in the sole discretion of he electrical inspector, to make a re-inspection of work authorized under this code, the person to which the permit was issued shall pay a re-inspection fee of twenty-five ($25.00). § 5.300 Fee for Electrical Inspections All new facilities and modified, changed, enlarged or reconstructed facilities are subject to inspection by the city, in which event a reasonable inspection fee not exceeding ten dollars ($10.00) for each pole inspection shall be paid to the city by the utility. § 5.400 Permit Fee for Sidewalk Construction A permit fee of five cents ($0.05) for each of the first one-hundred (100) lineal feet and two cents ($0.02) per foot for each additional foot, with a minimum of one dollar ($1.00) fee, shall be paid before such a permit shall be granted for repairs of sidewalks, driveways, etc. (Chapter 18, Section 18-32, Code of 1965) Code references–Chapter 3, Section 3.805

ARTICLE 8.000 FEE FOR ITINERANT MERCHANTS’ AND VENDORS’ PERMIT The fee for an itinerant merchant’s or itinerant vendor’s permit shall be fifty dollars ($50.00). When any person engages in any activity mentioned in Section 4.101 through one (1) or more agents or employees, he/she shall, in addition to such fee, pay a permit fee of ten dollars ($10.00) for each agent or employee so engaged. ARTICLE 9.000 LICENSE FEE FOR SALES OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES Before any person shall be permitted to manufacture, sell or distribute beer, wine or mixed beverages, as herein before defined, within the corporate limits of the city, he/she shall present to the tax collector of the city his/her license or permit to manufacture, sell, or distribute beer, wine or mixed beverages, as the case may be, within the State of Texas or in the County of Gillespie, and pay said tax collector an annual license fee as follows:

The fee for a license required by this article shall be twenty-five dollars ($25.00) for the first taxicab and ten dollars ($10.00) for each additional taxicab. Such fees shall be paid annually in advance on or before March 31st. The license fees provided for herein shall be used to defray the expense incurred in administering and enforcing this article. ARTICLE 11.000 PERMIT FEE HORSE DRAWN CARRIAGES A holder of an annual permit shall pay the city, in advance, a permit fee of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) a year for each carriage authorized by the permit. (Ordinance 5-043, Section 21-38) Code reference–Chapter 4, Section 4.509
ARTICLE 12.000 FEES FOR GARBAGE HAULING SERVICE No permit shall be issued to any applicant unless and until such applicant has paid the City of Fredericksburg an application fee of twenty-five dollars ($25.00). Code reference–Chapter 4, Section 4.602
ARTICLE 13.000 ANNUAL FEE FOR SEXUALLY ORIENTED BUSINESS The annual fee for a sexually oriented business license is five hundred dollars ($500.00). (Ordinance adopting Code) Code reference–Chapter4, Section 4.707
ARTICLE 14.000 GARBAGE AND TRASH FEES Each owner or occupant of each residence within the city limits, participating in the automated garbage collection, shall be charged the following sum per month for the automated bulk garbage containers:
(Ordinance 6-017 adopted 10-19-93) Code reference–Chapter 6, Section 6.202 Preliminary plats of subdivisions and re-subdivisions shall be accompanied by a filing fee of one hundred dollars ($100.00), plus ten dollars ($10.00) per lot. Variance requests: fifty dollars ($50.00) per item. (Requests for variance on design or construction standards MUST be submitted in writing with the Preliminary Plat submission. The request MUST specifically state item, section, subsection, or standards that the variance relates to). Minor plats: One hundred dollars ($100.00) Final plats of subdivisions and re-subdivisions for recording shall be accompanied by a filing fee of two-hundred dollars ($200.00), plus fifty dollars ($50.00) per page Subdivision Construction Inspection: one hundred dollars ($100.00) per lot. Parks Fee: One percent (1%) of the gross land value of the platted area. Applicants shall provide an appraisal, by a certified appraiser, dated within six months of application. Plat vacations shall be accompanied by a filing fee of one hundred dollars ($100.00) per plat. There shall be no fee required for minor plat changes or corrections. (Ordinance 4-004, adopted 6-24-85) Code reference–chapter 9, Article 9.600 A per meter charge of twenty dollars ($20.00) shall be made for connections to the city waterworks system made between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday: provided, however, that a per meter charge of forty dollars ($40.00) shall be made for connections made on holidays or at any time other than between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Code reference–Chapter 11, Section 11.106 § 16.200 Deposit Fee for Water Service Each water customer shall pay to the city, at the time of making application for connection to the city water distribution system, the sum of twenty-five dollars, ($25.00), as security for the payment of bills for water and other utility service, which deposit may be retained by the city until such customer is disconnected. The city may accept a letter from another city or utility company declaring that the customer has at least two (2) years good credit, in lieu of deposit. Applicable to all water service exclusively for domestic purposes to individual (single family) private residences or apartments served through a single meter. This rate is not applicable to business houses, educational institutions, or apartments houses, except where the later are served by separate meters for each apartment.
General Service (Commercial). Applicable to all water service served through a single meter for which no other specific rate schedule is applicable.
Industrial Applicable to all water service customers for which the monthly consumption exceeds 2,000,000 gallons. The industrial rate shall apply for eleven (11) months immediately following the month that the consumption exceeds 2,000,000 gallons. Should the monthly consumption be below 2,000,000 gallons for eleven (11) consecutive months, the commercial rate will apply until the consumption again exceeds 2,000,000 gallons.

§ 16.500 Reconnection Fee After Disconnection The city secretary shall charge a fee of twenty dollars ($20.00) for issuing a permit to restore service. § 19.200 Customer Installation Costs Residential Customers.
Code reference–Chapter 11, Section 11.703 § 19.300 Deposit for Electrical Service A deposit of a sum of money equal to two (2) average monthly bills for service, as estimated by the municipality, and in no instance less than fifty dollars ($50.00), shall be deposited with the municipality by each customer for each meter, at the time of making application for connection to the municipality’s distribution system, with the express understanding that said deposit shall be held by the municipality as security for the payment of amount owning or to become owing for electric or other utility service furnished by the municipality to the customer. The municipality shall have the right to increase the amount of deposit if the customer’s bills for any two (2) consecutive monthly billing periods of normal operation actually prove to exceed appreciably the amount of the original deposit made with the municipality. Any deposit or portion thereof not needed to pay indebtedness to the municipality will be, and the customer may demand that the same be, refunded at the time when the service is discontinued, and the period of limitation with which the claim or demand for such refund may be enforced will being to run at he time when the service is discontinued. The municipality may accept a letter from another city or utility company, declaring that the customer has at least two (2) years good credit, in lieu of the deposit. § 19.400 Returned Check Fee A returned check handling charge of five dollars ($20.00) shall be made for each check returned o the city for reasons of non-sufficient funds, accounts closed, payment withheld, invalid signature or impromptu preparation.
