The City of Fredericksburg has adopted an impact fee for new sewer and water services which will contribute to funding of capital improvements.  The fee will be $650.00 for water and $350.00 for sewer and will be collected at building permit issuance.

• All existing lots that will be served water and/or sewer will be subject to these fees as of March 1, 1999.  Two exceptions, Stone Ridge Unit 1 and Cross Mountain West, Unit 1, will be exempt from this fee.
• All new subdivisions not platted as of March 1, 1998 will be subject to the fee at the time of building permit issuance.
• Commercial properties requiring larger service than the standard residential service will have to pay a larger impact fee depending on the meter size needed.

Please contact the City Building Permit Department if you need clarification of the application of the fees.  These fees do not include the costs of new water and/or sewer taps.
