The City of Fredericksburg November 3, 2020, General Election has four polls open on Election Day as well as a Ballot Board/Central Count. This election will require eighteen civic-minded citizens who can devote their time and effort to this process.
Poll Workers are the foundation of an election system. The City Secretary’s Office is grateful and admires those who dedicate their time and energy to the democratic process.
Requirements
In Texas, at a minimum, to be eligible for appointment as a Pollwoker a person must be a U.S. citizen and a qualified voter of the territory of the election.
How to Become a Poll Worker
Early Voting and Election Day Workers
The basic responsibilities of Early Voting and Election Day workers include greeting and assisting each voter as they come into the polling place as well as verifying the eligibility of potential voters and assisting the Election Judge on all Election Day duties as assigned. Bilingual Clerks will assist the Judge in various duties including translating (Spanish) when necessary.

Election Day workers should be available to work a minimum of 12 hours on Election Day.
Early Voting workers should be available to work for approximately two weeks, including the weekend.
