2023 Holiday Schedule 

The City of Fredericksburg offices, Recycling Center, Landfill, Animal Shelter, Municipal Court, and Police Department Offices will be closed on the following days: 

  • Monday, January 2, 2023 - New Years Day
  • Monday, January 16, 2023 - Martin Luther King Jr. Day
  • Monday, February 20, 2023 - Presidents' Day
  • Friday, April 7, 2023 - Good Friday
  • Monday, May 29, 2023 - Memorial Day
  • Tuesday, July 4, 2023 - Independence Day
  • Friday, August 25, 2023 - Gillespie County Fair
  • Monday, September 4, 2023 - Labor Day
  • Friday, November 10, 2023 - Veteran's Day
  • Thursday & Friday, November 23 & 24, 2023 - Thanksgiving
  • Monday & Tuesday, December 25 & 26, 2023 - Christmas

There are no garbage collection holidays. Garbage will continue to be picked up as regularly scheduled.
