Residents of Fredericksburg seeking to vote by mail may submit an Application for Ballot by Mail (ABBM) in accordance with Texas Election Code. Please review the information provided carefully to ensure compliance with all requirements and deadlines.
There are 3 ways to vote by mail:
- Application for Ballot by Mail (ABBM) - English and Spanish
- Annual Application for Ballot by Mail (Annual ABBM)
- Federal Postcard Application (FPCS)
Only specific reason entitles a registered voter to vote early by mail (no longer called absentee voting). You may request a ballot by mail if you:
- Will be away from your county on Election Day and during the hours that early voting by personal appearance is conducted;
- Are sick or disabled; (as defined in Texas Election Code 82.002(a))
- Expected to give birth within three weeks before or after Election Day;
- Are 65 years of age or older on Election Day; or
- Are confined in jail or Involuntary Civil Commitment
