INVITATION TO BID

The CITY OF FREDERICKSBURG “OWNER” will receive sealed BIDS for the New City Hall at East Campus Remodel Project until 2:00pm local time on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at the current City of Fredericksburg City Hall, 126 W. Main Street, Fredericksburg, Texas 78624.  The Bids shall be sealed and addressed to:

The Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the current City Hall in Fredericksburg, Texas on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at 2:00pm.  Bids received after this time will not be accepted. 

The New City Hall at East Campus Remodel Project generally includes the conversion of a 27,500 s.f. former educational facility to serve as a new City Hall for the City of Fredericksburg including offices, Council Chambers, conference rooms, common areas, and community meeting space.  The scope of the project includes, but is not limited to, demolition of existing interior elements, and installation of new metal stud walls, drywall, doors and door hardware, lighting/power/data, plumbing fixtures, interior finishes (i.e. painting, suspended ceiling systems, flooring, trim work), cabinetry, millwork, countertop installation, and final clean-up. 

Bidding and contract documents may be examined or obtained electronically starting on Monday, March 10, 2025, at www.civcastusa.com (Project ID = “New City Hall at East Campus Remodel Project”) or for viewing only at the City of Fredericksburg City Hall, 126 W. Main St., Fredericksburg, TX 78624.

Each Bid shall be accompanied by bid security in the amount of five percent of the Bidder’s maximum bid price, as described in the Instructions to Bidders.  The successful Bidder will be required to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds.

A non-mandatory prebid conference will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at 2:00pm at the project site located at 2818 E. US HWY 290, Fredericksburg, TX 78624.

Requirements concerning the qualifications of bidders are described in the Instructions to Bidders. 

The City of Fredericksburg reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject bids. In case of ambiguity or lack of clarity in stating the prices in any Bid, the Owner reserves the right to determine which Bids are the lowest and/or best, and to award the contract on this basis and as described in the Instructions to Bidders.

Questions by potential bidders shall be submitted via the CivCast website after the pre-bid conference and no later than Thursday, March 27, 2025, at 4:00pm.
