RV Reservation System Upgrade: January 12-13, 2026

The City of Fredericksburg's Parks & Recreation Department has transitioned to a new system, Firefly, for all RV reservations and Lady Bird Johnson RV Park. All reservations made in Reserve America were migrated into the new system automatically. Reservations will be accepted by calling Park Headquarters at 830-997-4202 or online by clicking the above link. Reservations can be made 12 months in advance. Please note that a $3.50 reservation fee will now apply to each reservation. We will continue to accept cash, check or credit card payments. There will be a 3% convenience fee applied to all credit card transactions. 

Monthly Reservation Change

Effective Jan. 1, 2026 the park introduced a new monthly rate structure for greater flexibility. Visitors will now have the option to book monthly rates for up to 7 months of their choosing out of a 12 month period. Previously, monthly rates were only available from August - March.

Welcome to Lady Bird Johnson RV Park, nestled in the scenic Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park in Fredericksburg, Texas. Just three miles south of Fredericksburg's Main Street, our RV park offers 90 spacious sites with 30 and 50 amp electrical hook-ups, water, sewer, and cable TV.

Reservation Rates

Tier One: Horseshoe Loop, Upper Loop & Pecan Orchard Pull-Thru Sites

• Per night: $59.00
• Per week: $354.00
• Per month: $710.00 (Available up to 7 months/year)
• $3.50 Firefly Reservation Fee (non-refundable, one fee per site)

Tier Two: Sites #1-56 & #62 in Pecan Orchard and Sites #71-72 in Upper Loop

• Per night: $52.00
• Per week: $312.00
• Per month: $646.00 (Available up to 7 months/year)
• $3.50 Firefly Reservation Fee (non-refundable, one fee per site)

Holiday and Special Event Minimums:

• Two-day minimums may apply. Contact Park Headquarters for details.

Primitive Tent Camping:

• $10 per night per tent.
• No reservations; campers must check-in before 10 p.m.
• Limited to 14 nights/year.
• No sleeping in vehicles.
• No ground fires; fire rings available for $5 per week.

Cancellation Policy

Full Reservation Cancellations:

• Cancellations made 4 days prior to arrival receive a full refund minus a $3.50 reservation fee and 3% credit card convenience fee.
• Cancellations within 4 days of arrival charged one daily rate plus fees.
• Refunds for cash/check payments mailed within 30 days.

Early Departure Cancellations:

• Cancellations made 4 days prior to the reservation date(s) receive a full refund of the cancelled date(s).
• Cancellations within 4 days forfeit the fee(s) of the cancelled date(s).
• Refunds for cash/check payments mailed within 30 days.

Park Amenities

• Adjacent to Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park, available to campers from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
• Live Oak Creek runs through the center, home to ducks and geese, and available for fishing (non-motorized boats permitted).
• Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park Pool (open during summer months).
• Tennis and pickleball courts adjacent to the swimming pool.
• Five pavilions with barbecue pits for events (reservations required).
• Baseball/softball fields for casual games or reservations.
• Sand volleyball court and outdoor basketball courts (open if Pavilion #5 is not reserved).
• Several playgrounds and nature trails.
• Pioneer Pavilion and Tatsch House for social gatherings.
• Lady Bird Johnson Golf Course a few miles away inside the park.

Additional RV Park Information

• Closes from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Entry code provided to guests with overnight reservations made before 10 p.m. on arrival day.

RV Mail Service Update:

• No incoming/outgoing mail service for RV visitors as of April 1, 2021.
• Mail can be sent to the Fredericksburg USPS Post Office or other mail providers.
• Outgoing mail can be dropped off at public mailboxes downtown or at the USPS Post Office.

Additional Reservation Notes:

• Reservations must be paid in full at the time of booking.
• For reservations longer than one week, please call to reserve.
• Accepted credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, Discover.
• Reservations can be made 12 months in advance.
• Guests at Lady Bird Johnson RV will be able to play at Lady Bird Johnson Golf Course for the Residential Rate.
• Check-in time: any time after 12:00 p.m. Checkout time: no later than 12:00 p.m.

Park Headquarters Office Hours

• Monday - Thursday: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
• Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
• Sunday: 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
