Fredericksburg, Texas - The City of Fredericksburg’s Water Department is currently taking an inventory of all water tap service lines as mandated by the Environmental Protection Agency.
Department crews take the service line material inventory at the water meter, which is typically located in front yards behind the street curb.
The inventory of over 6,700 connections is slated to be completed by this summer.
