Fredericksburg, Texas – The Gillespie County Health Division and the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service are offering a joint Food Handlers Certification and Event Permitting course on Monday, April 1 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Gillespie County Extension Office.
Designed for businesses and individuals planning to serve food and beverages to the public during the eclipse on April 8, 2024, the course requires no advanced registration and costs $70.
Event organizers ask attendees to pay at the door in two separate checks – Food Handlers Certification ($20) and Event Permit ($50).
The event permit is valid throughout Gillespie County and lasts for up to two weeks, while the food handlers training is an accredited program and good for two years.
