Fredericksburg, Texas – The Fredericksburg City Council made 10 selections for a trio of boards and commissions on Tuesday during its regularly scheduled meeting at the Gillespie County Law Enforcement Center.
The agenda item was discussed in executive session and then once back in regular session Mayor Pro Tem Emily Kirchner made a motion to approve a slate of nominees that was seconded by Councilmember Tony Klein and passed unanimously.
That slate of choices included the reappointments of Joe Salinas and Cydney Donnell for three-year terms on the Historic Review Board as well as the appointment of Todd Edison to replace Richard Laughlin, who served on that board for 15 years.
On the Zoning Board of Adjustment, Jennifer Eggleston was reappointed, while Taylor Williams and Eric Hammerson were reappointed and moved from alternate to regular positions. Jim McAfee and Mike Mahoney were selected as alternates.
Meanwhile on the Planning & Zoning Commission, Janice Menking was reappointed, and Belinda McDonnell was chosen to replace Steve Thomas, after he had served on the board for 14 years.
The Council tabled its appointments to the Market Square Redevelopment Commission until the next meeting, which will be held on July 16. The previously scheduled July 2 City Council meeting has been cancelled.
