Fredericksburg, Texas – The City of Fredericksburg has appointed Assistant City Engineer Evan Williamson as the Interim Director of Development Services.

Williamson, who has been with the City for nearly seven years, will lead the Development Services Department during the search for a permanent director. The City has engaged SGR of Keller, Texas, to assist in that hiring process.

"I am honored to step into this role and continue serving the community I grew up in,” Williamson said. “I look forward to working with our dedicated team to provide great customer service to the residents and businesses of Fredericksburg."

As Interim Director, Williamson will oversee the City Building Official, Building Inspector, Senior Planner, Planner 1, STR Specialist and Building Services Coordinator.
