Parks & Recreation Hosts St. Patrick's Day Coin Hunt

Fredericksburg, Texas – The City of Fredericksburg Parks & Recreation Department invites children ages 12 and under to participate in a St. Patrick's Day Coin Hunt on Sunday, March 16. 

The Coin Hunt will begin at 9 a.m. and will continue until all coins are found or until 5:30 p.m. with a limit of one coin per child.

Green coins will be hidden around the playgrounds at Marktplatz and Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park, offering a fun and rewarding hunt for young participants.

Children can search for the coins at Marktplatz Playground, located in the 100 block of West Main Street, and at the multiple playgrounds in Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park, located at 432 Lady Bird Drive off State Highway 16. 

Once a coin is found, it can be redeemed for a prize. Coins found at Marktplatz should be taken to City Hall Annex #1 at 115 N. Crockett Street, while coins found at Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park should be taken to Park Headquarters at 432 Lady Bird Drive. Prizes can be claimed between 10 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on the day of the event.
