City Announces Upcoming Election Details

Fredericksburg, Texas – The City of Fredericksburg will hold a General Election on Saturday, May 3, to elect two City Councilmembers.

 

All voting will take place at the Gillespie County Elections Office at 95 Frederick Rd.

 

On Election Day, the voting location will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Meanwhile, early voting by personal appearance begins on Tuesday, April 22, and continues Friday, April 25 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. No voting will be held on Saturday or Sunday, April 26-27, but early voting continues from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday, April 28-29. On the ballot in 2025 are four candidates for the two council seats. The lone incumbent candidate is Bobby Watson as current Councilman Randy Briley chose to not seek reelection. The three other candidates are Todd Eidson, Charlie Kiehne and Cheryl Rowan.

 

Voting in the General Election is open to qualified and registered voters within the City of Fredericksburg. A photo ID must be presented to vote in all Texas elections. To view the list of acceptable forms of ID and voting requirements, click here

 

Applications for a Ballot by Mail must be received by the City Secretary by 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 22.  For a list of eligibility requirements to request an application for Ballot by Mail, click here.
